It really did seem like Zombie-nation was playing the entire game. The bruins scorched the Red Wings last night at Home 6-1. This was an offensive shelling. The Bruins held the puck in Detroit’s zone for the majority of the night. After Krejci scored 2 goals the rest of the game was basically dekes and showboating and trying to sauce the puck back to him for a hat-trick (which he missed out on after several opportunities).
Another Big take-away was Drew Stafford’s first goal as a Boston Bruin, and on a night like last night it must’ve felt great. Another player that should not be forgotten in this performance was Tuuka Rask. He had 26 saves putting on a show with a few great saves, the one goal he let up rang the post and I do fault him one bit.
- Key component to watch for these next few games:
Chara’s slow. Multiple times last night he was too slow skating back to the bench for a line change and was forced to stay out there when the wings were back on a quick attack turnover. This could definitely pose as a problem against quicker more efficient teams coming up. On the bright side Brandon Carlo had one hell of a game defensively tallying 19:11 time on ice with a few takeaways.
